Chinnis, has been active since its inception in the area of real estate development and management. Mr Chinnis received his Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1947 from the University of Richmond, his Bachelor of Law in 1949 from Washington and Lee University, and his Master of Law in Taxation in 1978 from William and Mary School of Law. Larry Porter joined Cabell Corporation in 1981, as President in charge Operations. Mr. Porter is responsible for day-to-day operations. Mr. Porter received an Associate of Arts Degree from Chesapeake Community College in 1972, with subsequent study at Salisbury State College. Mr. Porter's background includes planning and zoning, grant administration, and housing program coordination. Cabell Corporation currently manages 13 apartment complexes with a total of 436 units. These complexes were developed in partnerships or corporations under the direction of Mr. Chinnis and Mr. Porter, and utilized financing from federal and state programs, including the federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program. Cabell Corporation continues to move forward in various development and fields. We have been involved in industrial development through cooperation with state and local governments, and look forward to entering into the single-family development arena.
